History
The Lieber compound was home to Israel’s first chocolate, coffee, and candy factory. Two brands still sold today by Elite (now Strauss-Elite), who occupied the factory, are all-time favorites “Mekupelet” chocolate logs and “Bazooka” bubblegum.

In the early ’90s, the Tel Aviv Municipality began implementing its gentrification plan for the Neve Zedek neighborhood. The preservation works breathed new life into the area, and Neve Zedek quickly became a trendy and desirable neighborhood, attracting locals and foreigners alike.
